Removing a host from backuppc

Post Removing a host from backuppc
Hi,

To remove a host from backuppc, can I simply remove it from the hosts
file and then remove the hostname directory from /var/lib/backuppc/pc/,
and BackupPC_nightly will take care of the rest?

Yes. This will completely remove a host and its backups.

An alternative is to disable backups (example: a host that is
retired but you still want to access old backups) by setting
$Conf{FullPeriod} in that host's config.pl file to -1 or -2.

Ah yes, but in this case the problem was lack of disk space. Not
backing up a host with backuppc is an acceptable solution to disk space
issues when that host is already being backed up with Legato Networker Smile

(the only reason to do both is that tape backup is nice to bring
offsite, while backuppc is much easier to restore)
