Hi experts
I am not a Linux expert, but I've succeeded in installing BackupPC 3.2.1 on a DNS-323 NAS (running an ARM GNU Linux distribution).
BackupPC seems to be working - I can also access it from the CGI web interface - but this message appears in ffp.log (it's part of system start):
**** fun_plug script for DNS-323 (2008-08-11 tp<at>fonz.de) ****
Day Mon dd 20:59:30 GMT 2011
ln -snf /mnt/HD_a2/ffp /ffp
* Running /ffp/etc/fun_plug.init ...
* Running /ffp/etc/rc ...
rcorder: requirement `DAEMON' in file `/ffp/start/backuppc.sh' has no providers.
I would start by looking at the startus script 'backuppc.sh'
referenced above.
The specific error message sited seems to be more related to Fonz's
funplug for the dns-323 so you might want to post to that
group. Nothing you mention gives any clue about backuppc itself...
