now I've tried to solve my problem with rsyncd on winxp.
Following errormessage occurs:

What happens when you try to do a transfer with a regular rsync,
eg:

rsync --numeric-ids --perms --owner --group --devices --links --times --block-size=2048 --recursive --ignore-times xxx.xxx.x.xx::finanz .

Also, please check the syslog or other logging facility on the client
machine to see if there are any errors.
