Backup Central

hi guys,

how can i backup more than one path. what i have to do (in the
rsyncd.conf) when i will backup /etc and /var

< at > the moment the path in the rsyncd.conf ist

[backup]

comment = public archive
path = /

just define two "shares" in your rsyncd.conf... like this:

[backup-etc]
comment = public archive
path = /etc

[backup-var]
comment = public archive
path = /var

I only copied your example but your actual rsyncd.conf should have some more
entries... espacially "auth users" and "secrets file" is important to secure
the rsyncd server.

I you have done that you need to add the second share to the backuppc host
config... like this:

$Conf{XferMethod} = 'rsyncd';
$Conf{RsyncShareName} = ['backup-etc','backup-var'];
...
