Hello BackupPC-Users,

I'm trying to backup a heterogene network of Win2k and WinXP-Computers. Win2k works, XP fails with following message:
Running: /usr/bin/smbclient \\\\oha\\share -I xxx.xxx.x.xx -U Oliver -E -N -d 1 -c tarmode\ full -Tc -
Xfer PIDs are now 1422,1421
session setup failed: NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE

tarExtract: Done: 1 errors, 0 filesExist, 0 sizeExist, 0 sizeExistComp, 0 filesTotal, 0 sizeTotal

Has anyone an idea how to get this to work?

hi stefan,
the line: "session setup failed: NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE" is quite self explaining.
check your xp user/password settings and try to connect with some other win2k/xp first. if that works use that user/passwd for smbclient.
i had that error once, when i forgot to add the workgroup parameter (-W iirc).
