Backup Central

Greetings...

I have gotten BackupPC to work on a machine on the intranet. It is both server and client. It took me a while to get the OpenSSH to work, but it is now backing up and restoring, etc. There has been a puzzling problem in that the "wakeup" seems to shut down the BackupPC server. There is always the "strict refs" error in the logs, and it seems to happen on the hour. I can restart the server just fine by running the init script.

Below is a snippet from the logs.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on here?

I know it is considered bad form to answer your own post, but I seem to have solved this problem. I commented out the $Conf{DHCPAddressRanges} = line since I only had one IP there anyway. The server no longer stopping very hour...

have solved this problem. I commented out the $Conf{DHCPAddressRanges}

It appears that the value of $Conf{DHCPAddressRanges} was syntactically
correct, but the value has the wrong type. It should be a list of
hashes, eg:

$Conf{DHCPAddressRanges} = [
{
ipAddrBase => '192.10.10',
first => 20,
last => 250,
},
];

What did you set it to?
