Is it possible to use Bacula to back up two servers via FTP protocol.
=20
Conceptually I am looking for a solution that can go transfer files via =
LAN or WAN.
=20
Windows(FTP)-->Embeded Linux Server-Buffalo Terrastation(FTP)
=20
I have tried other FTP sync softwares.. and Pulling Data from the server =
runs at 11.6MB/sec (via gigabit LAN on the same SWITCH), the connection =
times out frequently, but it works..
=20
When trying to pull Data from the Linux Server (bufallo Terrastation) =
the throughput is only 3.63MB/sec
=20
Theoretically it should be the same..
=20
I am interested in automating this procedure regularly.. between FTP =
boxes on the WAN as well.
=20
Thanks,

You can use the bacula-fd on the windows client and setup the bufallo
external storage as an NFS mount on your bacula-DIR/bacuala-SD system.

You cannot bacula-sd directly to the Buffalo NAS, unless you hack it,
which may not be a bad idea if its running Linux.

Best to just tear the drive out of it and mount it locally.

Or have a direct cross-over between the SD machine and the Terrastation
