Post Install config help
I am having errors connecting my windows client to the bacula server. I noticed my client was running version 5.2.2 and my server is running what I got from the repository which is 5.0.1 so I am assuming that is where my problem lies. I have downloaded the 5.2.2 version from sourceforge and now trying to install it without a deb package. I am very new to Linux so I get confused easily.

This is a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS with a working version of Bacula 5.0.1 running on it. What config options do I need to use for the ./configure command to do the install for 5.2.2? The example in the example directory didn't look right.

Did you get rid of 127.0.0.1 and localhost out of the bacula configs
and replace that with an external routeable address. Some
distributions ship bacula with configs that prevent bacula from being
a network backup.

That worked! Thanks a ton!

In the /etc/bacula/bacula-dir.conf under

Director {

I changed

DirAddress = 127.0.0.1

to

DirAddress = HostIP

as well as the diraddress under

Storage {

I also had to change the info in /etc/bacula/bconsole.conf to get my webmin module for bacula working after I updated the ip info in the director config.
