Limitations of Running 2.02 Server with 1.36 Clients

Post Limitations of Running 2.02 Server with 1.36 Clients
Hi,

I'm currently running a 2.02 server dir and sd with mostly 2.02 clients.
However, two clients are running Debian Stable and the 1.36 bacula-fd.
These two clients seem to be being backed up and restored without
problem. Should I be worried that this will fail at some point?

Thanks,

Michael

According to the release notes, this situation is not
recommended.

If both backup and restore works, OK, it is probably a temporary solution.

However, it is not a configuration we have tested and one that we strongly
discourage running as there can be all kinds of subtle changes across two
versions. I personally would not trust any important data to such a
configuration ...

Best regards,

Kern
