No, you can follow NFS shares without any licensing problems. The only potential downside to backing up NFS and CIFS through a host instead of their own FS iDA or NDMP is that you're not getting proper permissions/ACL's.
If you had to restore the data, what it will probably do is inherit the permissions that the mounted folder had on the server with the FS iDA, and not necessarily have the permissions from the linked server.
In many cases, it doesn't matter. Some stuff people don't care too much about. I mean you're sharing it out anyway.

You can backup NFS shares with a Linux FS agent, but only if you specify their paths explicitly in a subclient. Since we sometimes see indexing issues with NFS mount points, we define each in a separate subclient to minimize the delays when they do occur.
