 Canīt restore any data from CV7
Folks,
Iīve a curious incident in my CV7 when I need to restore any data.
The restore job start and when it is in 5% (during long time) it show me the status Failed.
For make backup the CV is working fine.
The enviroment detais is:
- CV7.0 SP5 (Media Server and Clients up-to-date);
- Server W2k3 SP2 x64 Enterprise (up-to-date);
- Library attached from HBA (fible channel);
- Server and Library with all drivers and firmwares up-to-date;
Below the following tests that I tried without success.
- Ran a dbmaintenance -full;
- Create a new "index cache" (without migration from old index);
- New backup job and restore after;
- Backup to disk and restore after;

have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the client binaries on this server?

Canīt restore any data from CV7
Hi Mark,
I'm not tried to reinstall. I tried to make a Windows File System and SQL agent restore, but without success in this server.
I'll try to make a restore using other agent from other server using this same media server.
If issue are continue, I'll try to reinstall it.
If anyone have other suggestion, please let me know.

Iīve a curious incident in my CV7 when I need to restore any data.
The restore job start and when it is in 5% (during long time) it show me the status Failed.
For make backup the CV is working fine.
The enviroment detais is:
- CV7.0 SP5 (Media Server and Clients up-to-date);
- Server W2k3 SP2 x64 Enterprise (up-to-date);
- Library attached from HBA (fible channel);
- Server and Library with all drivers and firmwares up-to-date;

Canīt restore any data from CV7
Does the job log any job pending reason. Also have you called in a ticket with CV support.

Hi Mark,
I'm not tried to reinstall. I tried to make a Windows File System and SQL agent restore, but without success in this server.
I'll try to make a restore using other agent from other server using this same media server.
If issue are continue, I'll try to reinstall it.
If anyone have other suggestion, please let me know.

Iīve a curious incident in my CV7 when I need to restore any data.
The restore job start and when it is in 5% (during long time) it show me the status Failed.
For make backup the CV is working fine.
The enviroment detais is:
- CV7.0 SP5 (Media Server and Clients up-to-date);

- Library attached from HBA (fible channel);

Canīt restore any data from CV7
seems like the client is unable to authenticate itself to the commserve. Have there been any changes made to the commserve or networking recently?

I'm not tried to reinstall. I tried to make a Windows File System and SQL agent restore, but without success in this server.
I'll try to make a restore using other agent from other server using this same media server.
If issue are continue, I'll try to reinstall it.

Iīve a curious incident in my CV7 when I need to restore any data.
The restore job start and when it is in 5% (during long time) it show me the status Failed.
For make backup the CV is working fine.
The enviroment detais is:
- CV7.0 SP5 (Media Server and Clients up-to-date);
- Server W2k3 SP2 x64 Enterprise (up-to-date);
- Library attached from HBA (fible channel);
- Server and Library with all drivers and firmwares up-to-date;

Canīt restore any data from CV7
All,
after many tests, I found the problem...
I replaced the FC cable and it is working fine for both backup and restore.
Thx so much for all that help me in this incident.

I'm not tried to reinstall. I tried to make a Windows File System and SQL agent restore, but without success in this server.
I'll try to make a restore using other agent from other server using this same media server.
If issue are continue, I'll try to reinstall it.
If anyone have other suggestion, please let me know.

Iīve a curious incident in my CV7 when I need to restore any data.
The restore job start and when it is in 5% (during long time) it show me the status Failed.
For make backup the CV is working fine.
The enviroment detais is:
- CV7.0 SP5 (Media Server and Clients up-to-date);
- Server W2k3 SP2 x64 Enterprise (up-to-date);
- Library attached from HBA (fible channel);
- Server and Library with all drivers and firmwares up-to-date;
Below the following tests that I tried without success.
- Ran a dbmaintenance -full;
- Create a new "index cache" (without migration from old index);
- New backup job and restore after;
- Backup to disk and restore after;
