Deleting data from a disk library for specific clients

Post Deleting data from a disk library for specific clients
Hello All,

We are currently running low on space on one of our libraries. I have created a new policy with all the settings required and I'm about to re-associate all the required clients with the new policy.

What I'd like to do before that is to delete or remove all the backups from the disk library? The Auxcopy has already copied all the data off to tape.

Any help or advice would be fantastic.

Thanks.

There are a couple of ways to do it. The 'nuclear option' would be to go to the library in the libraries section under storage resources, click it, then right click the mount paths on the right side. You can then "delete contents." That does everything (the data will be reclaimed the next time you run a Data Aging).

If you want to delete data from specific clients, you have to go to your storage policies. Find the disk copy of the storage policy, right click that copy and select View - Jobs. Pick the clients, and set the time frame. Then you can select multiple jobs, right click - Delete Job. (The space will reclaim after you run a Data Aging).
