Exchange 2007 Database Corruption
Author Message
Post Exchange 2007 Database Corruption
In the past couple of weeks I have had to restart my Exchange 2007 server due to updates, etc. On multiple occasions I was not able to mount a certain database due to corruption issues and getting event ID errors such as the following:

MSExchangeIS (2856) Administration Division: Attempted to attach database 'D:Program FilesExchange ServerMailboxAdministration DivisionAdministration.edb' but it is a database restored from a backup set on which hard recovery was not started or did not complete successfully.

This happened again this morning when I cleanly stopped a commvault exchange database job then restarted my exchange server. Either possibly stopping that job corrupted my exchange database or it was already corrupted. Has anyone experienced any issues with the commvault exchange database agent corrupting databases? I’m just trying to figure out the culprit behind the corruption of exchange Databases.

Thanks
