Post directory inaccessible
All,

I am running Simpana 8 on Windows 2008 with file archiver for NAS (netapp). While I can successfully connect to netapp via fpolicy and have the right permission to modify, delete, or add files under \netapp.test.comtest1 in Windows explorer, FileScan.log shows Access is denied.

How does Simpana access those directories? How do I troubleshoot this access denied problem?

My configuration:

windows 2008 server
samba 3.5 as windows NT domain
netapp filer with CIFS joined into the NT domain
simpana 8

I configured the subclient to connect to the NAS using Domaintonytest, and I used Domaintonytest to login to windows 2008 and made sure I have permission to modify \netapp.test.comtest1

HELP!
Thanks in advanced!

What version of ontap are you running?

NetApp only support 2008 for fpolicy servers, ie archive, av , when using ontap 8.0.2 or above

Have you given your test acct rights to the filer?

Is the cv screener service created on the filer?
