Anyone have experience using the HP P2000 as a shared disk target for MagLib?
We're looking at purchasing the FC model. We will also be purchasing a Quantum 80 slot library only licensing the first 40 slots. It will be connected via FC with lto-5 drives.
All of our backups will either come over FC to the P2000 disk target, then aux copy to tape. Backups not coming over the FC will come over the 10Gig ethernet. this will be a change in that right now, all backups come over the LAN.
At the same time, we are planning on adding a second MediaAgent and GridStor. Both MediaAgents will use the P2000 and attached shelves as their disk target.
Does this all sound doable?
