So no full AV scan, or some other program that is known to run scans across volumes? Is it picking up all of the content from one particular drive or all drives? timestamp/mass-permission-changes, etc. any sort of activity?
From a health check perspective - if a FULL backup is taking 2 days then maybe you should be reviewing your backup strategy for that box or be considering ways to speed it up
As for the scan type, it might show as mixed if you have file archiver installed and active on a given drive that's part of your subclient Content (generally the other reason is if you have a non-NTFS file system that you're backing up)

What would cause an incr backup to backup everything. So frustrating.
It's an existing W2003 FS client, working fine for months and then bam...midweek incr decides to backup every single file (3TB) instead of the usual 8GB of changes.
Of course it completely buggers up everything because we don't have the disk space and also it won't finish for 2 days. If I cancel it will probably just do it again. So I have no choice but to explain to the business that there are no backups for 2 days till CV finishes. Incredibly annoying.
And yes I have put in registry fixes for Symantec Endpoint Protection (NoFileMod) so that the AV doesn't mess with timestamps.
There have been no other changes. The backup set uses Change Journal but scan type shows as "Mixed" during backup.
I can't begin to describe how frustrating this is.
