Subject: [commvault] Internet Laptop Backups
Has anyone setup internet based laptop backups? I read through the documentation on how to set it up but I was hoping someone could help me understand how it works.
When a laptop is online off the network is there an initial check-in with the Commserve? Right now we only have 1 media agent, so I assume I would need another media agent and maybe additional licenses?
It doesn't appear that there is a certificate involved for machine identity, so how do clients authenticate to the media agent/commserve?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
