Maximum # of Readers on Drive Pool after upgrade to 9.0

Post Maximum # of Readers on Drive Pool after upgrade to 9.0
Hi All,

I've recently finished an upgrade to 9.0. The upgrade for everything including commserv, media agents, and various clients went very smoothly.

However after upgrading my aux copy tape job is failing to use the full drive pool. This job calls for all fulls to be copied from primary disk storage to tape using a tape library that has two drives. In the past this job would utilize both drives moving data as expected. Now for some unknown reason the aux copy job is limiting to 1 drive only.

I've verified that both drives are online and available. Neither is marked as down, crashed, or offline.

In the aux copy job details page (status page of active job) I've noticed a line "Maximum number of readers: 1" and "Number of Readers in use: 1". Now the language in commvault confuses me sometimes the difference between writers/readers on disks/tapes and source/target. But I have an inclination that where these numbers are set (storage policy, library configuration, IDK) is why my aux copy job only uses one drive.

Can someone suggest a panel to look at or a page in the commvault 9.0 manual to read? I ask only as this seems to be a change in behavior from 8.0 to 9.0

Cheers,
Taylor

Behaviour hasn't changed with the exception of patch 33887 being released to resolve a problem with "use maximum streams" amongst a couple of other things... have you configured the tape copy (storage policy copy) to "Combine to streams" ? If so, is it set to the number of tape drives you wish to use, or is it set to one?
