Backup Central

One of my co-workers created a volume on one of our Virtual Servers a couple days ago and now when CV tries to back it up we receive this Event

Metadata collection failed for Virtual Machine[Server Name], File and Volume browse will not be available for this VM. [Initialization from Disk failed, <1><Failed to parse VMBLK>]

She said she initialized the new Volume. Any ideas?

Is there a file system on the VMDK in question?
