Post Netware Cluster Backup Error
Hello -

I am trying to configure Netware FS iDA on a Netware cluster. The nodes are on Netware 6.5 SP 8. When I run the job I get the following error:

The galaxy NLMs are loaded on the server and when I do 'check readiness' it comes up with 'client ready'.

I opened a ticket with CV Support and I was asked to make sure that 'ncssdk.nlm' was loaded. This NLM was loaded on the server when I ran the job. TSAFS is loaded on the server also. The account I use to run the job has the correct password.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
RV

Post Netware Cluster Backup Error
We have several netware clusters (though I'm not our Novell admin) and the commvault tech who has helped us the most is Bill Johnson. He's always been great to get our environment up and running.

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 TRANSITIONAL//EN"> Hi Ricky,

Does this issue only occur when backing up cluster resources (virtual servers) and are backups of the physical nodes running successfully?

Then the most probable cause is that TSAFS.NLM is loaded without cluster support. This would also explain the following line in the log:

0 984 04/05 11:00:12 158128 WARNING CVSMS CVSMS NetWare Cluster File System TSA not loaded.

You can fix this by performing the following on all NetWare cluster nodes:

- unload CommVault (unload galaxy)
- unload TSAFS (unload tsafs)
- load TSAFS with cluster support (load tsafs /cluster)
- load CommVault (load galaxy)

After loading TSAFS with the /cluster option, the SYS:ETCSMSTSA.CFG file is updated to automatically load with clustering support enabled.

Please let us know how this works out!

Post Netware Cluster Backup Error
Hello PD,

Thanks for this, it worked. I checked the autoexec.bat and it was configured to load TSAFS /nocluster -- because of Tivoli.

Thanks,
RV
