We currently get over 3,000 failed files when backing up an Oracle database. The majority of errors are "file not found"...which I'm told are due to temp and renamed files that were there during the scan but are not there when the backup is completed.
We are contemplating going through the list and putting the high level directories into the filter...but this is going to take a long time to complete.
Is there a better solution (besides doing the backup when Oracle is down).
