I am new to this software, and I'm fearing that this backup system may be a bit overboard for what we needed.
We're trying to create a simple backup that uses 3 tapes (cartridges really. One single drive)
I want a full on Friday night, an Incremental on Monday and Wednesday. But there are so many settings in the software, I'm at a loss as to how to set this up.
We have 3 tapes. Mon, Wed, Fri. So it's just a one week set. How do I set up Simpana to use these tapes without asking for new ones? And how can I tell it to backup just my chosen files without adding system data?
How can I tell it to automatically wipe the tapes before recording? It seems it always wants a new tape, even after one week goes by.
