Simpana 7 issues on TL4000 over SAN

Post Simpana 7 issues on TL4000 over SAN
no, this is more likely to be a SAN Fabric issue, possibly a drive or library firmware issue. make sure your drive and library firmware is updated, make sure you cabling and your fabric zoning is correct. Unknown Media Changer is acceptable. Commvault does not supply hardware drivers.

Good Day all.
I have Simpana 7, a DELL TL 4000 2 Drives, Media Agent is Win 2003 x64 and have some issues when backing up over  SAN. When sending jobs to TL 4000 some times they run fine but most of the times I loose the media changer and 1 drive; only 1 drive remains on windows devices.
The way to recover from this is: Turn Off the library / turn it On / Restart the Media Agent and the Media Changer and the missing drive reappear.
Could this be a simpana issue?
Already tried to apply "Simpana 7.0 Service Pack 5 & Content Indexing May 2009 Pack" but the files on the original CD had the same versions.

Also checking the Media Changer it was appearing as IBM something, so I clicked update driver and it changed it back to "Unknown Medium Changer" Shouldn't be there a Commvault driver in that media changer?
Thanks a lot.

Hi

Also Check the SCSI Reservation for drive operation, library properties, Tab (Drive)
just be sure if you use 3 or 2

Also make sure you do not have other backup apps running that can cause reservation issues on the TL.
This includes removable storage service. Disable it.
Also zone the Tl and drives ONLY to the media agent.
There are also logs you can pull from the TL that can tell you of any HW resets.
