Backup Central

Hi All.

I am on simpana 9.0, and SP3a backing up VMs. I have been experiencing the below error
“Unable to download the VMX file for Virtual Machine"
And the backups are going to pending state
Has anyone experienced these types of performance issues when backing up virtual machines?
Note: recently I ve upgraded from SP1 to 3a

What version on ESX are you on….Should be a minimum of 4.0 Update 2
