Hi guys,
After checking all my pre-requisites, documenting everything i needed to do, and making sure i had backup copies of my latest DR set etc, i began my carefully planned upgrade to v8.0. Unfortunately it failed in the initial phase of the background checks with the error:
"Setup was unable to determine the collation on the existing SQL Server Instance. See GalaxyInstallerLog.txt for more information"
Here's the relevant extract from the GalaxyInstallerLog.txt file:

=================================
The warning above, seems to relate specifically to the tempdb database.
I've checked the collation settings for the 'tempdb' database, and also the 'master', and the 'CommServ' databases, and all three are set to SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS which i believe is correct, and matches what is listed on the pre-requisite checks.
Anyone seen this before, or know how to fix this?
I'm naturally very wary of changing anything related to collation settings without advice, as i'm admittedly not an expert on SQL, but i know enough not to fiddle.
I've got a call logged with commvault, but can't do a remote session till next week, so thought i'd compare notes with anyone else who might offer some insight or easy fix in the meantime.
Cheers
Mark
