Make sure that at least you update the version 7 components to the _latest_ patch in the 7.0 version line. that way you are least likely to have issues with backwards compatibility if running against an 8.0 commcell.m

Of the 8, 6 of them were still running fine with 7, but would not upgrade to 8. We had to uninstall the 7, then fresh install the 8 and that resolved the issue. The other 2 were in the DMZ, and somehow lost the firewall settings. We just had to delete and re-add the firewall files.

There were no client reboots needed. For our size environment, it was a very smooth upgrade.
