Post V9 upgrade question
I'm reading the 'Upgrade Considerations' documentation:
http://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/release_9_0_0/books_online_1/english_us/deployment/common_upgrade/imp_considerations.htm

Under deconfigured clients, it states: "For older clients, use the Database Upgrade tool to upgrade the deconfigure clients".
Not exactly sure what this means. Is there a separate tool for this process? I have about 12 deconfigured machines that are listed as "product version 6.1".

THanks,
-Jon

No separate tool. When you upgrade commserve to 9.0, it will upgrade all V7 and V8 deconfigured clients to version V9. Versioin 6.1 clients will probably be left alone.

It actually is a separate tool, part of the resource pack: http://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/release_9_0_0/books_online_1/english_us/deployment/upgrade/dbupgrade_install.htm
