I am not sure if my previous msg went out, so I want to be sure you are
all aware that the Networker list has a new email address at
networker < at > listserv.temple.edu and a new web site at
http://listserv.temple.edu/archives/networker.html

Those of you who use the Networker list's web site will need to request a
new Listserv password before you can access the new web site's features. A
link is on the web site to allow you to request a new Listserv password.

If you have any questions about this new Listserv, let me know.

Stan, In searching on the old listserv for a string that was successful this morning, I'm now getting a "Permission Denied" message on this new one.

I'll send you the whole error message if you want.

Randy

Rather than the error message, I would prefer to know the
details of how you did the search and what you were searching for.
This way, I can try to replicate the problem and troubleshoot it
without bothering you any further.

This morning, I was searching for MSEXCH:MB from the "Search the Networker Archives" page. Now when I hit submit is when I get the "Permissions Denied" error.

Thanks,
Randy

After setting my password on the new server, I got 'permission denied'
errors on searches also. (Yes, I did a "log out" to clear the local
cookies. Yes, I completed the confirmation of the password change).

I waited a few minutes and the search now returns. (although it appears
that the actual messages are not accessible right this second due to an
update process).

Randy,

My apologies to you and the others who had trouble search the Networker
list after its moved. Apparantly, I messed up in setting up the
permissions for the list on our Linux server. The problem is fixed now.
Your searches should work fine now.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Stan,
I would like to have the old "management" note again attached to all
newsgroup items (with the pointer to the archives).
Thanks,
Itzik

Please rephrase your comment. I do not understand. Listserv is not Usenet
and I do not know what note you are referring to.

I'm assuming he's talking about the...

should be sent to stan < at > temple.edu

blurb which is no longer appearing on messages.
