Backup Central

Hi, I would like to know the recommended procedure for backing up a dell
NAS powervault. It has a cut down version of Windows but no CD-Rom. Do I
need to map a network drive to a shared CD-rom and install the client
backup software? Is it ok to install additional software on this cut
down version of windows and then back it up as a regular networker
client.

I backup many of these via NW 7.1. I installed the client from a
network drive and back it up like a regular system, including the system
state.
