BLAT stopped working
Author Message
Post BLAT stopped working
Our blat stopped working two days ago. I run a batch job that installs
and logs the blat activity on windows servers. The batch job is ran via
an RC command in a VB program. I use blat 202 and upgraded to NW 713 two
weeks ago.

I can run the batch file manually.

As far as I know, the exchange server has not been upgraded, but may
have been patched (Microsoft security patches).

Any help?

I have seen the same--can't you execute the batch file that calls the blat
sequence as opposed to using the blat syntax explicitly within NetWorker?
For Notifications, I notice that while blat commands will only work for me
using the bat files, owner notification for clients allows me to use the
blat command no problem.

It started working again today. All I did was to install Blat 204 (I
had 202). There were no changes to the SMTP server.

I don't use Networker to call BLAT. I have a VB program that parses
savegrp.log, splits out the individual clients into separate text files,
builds the batch file and sends the text files in emails to individual
recipients via an shell command. This allows me to have the subject
line contain the text "Successful Backup" or "Unsuccessful Backup".
This allows the recipients to build email rules to ignore the successful
ones.
