Ken,

Have a try by probing the group : from the server, issue

"savegrp -pnv <group name>"

All clients and their savesets what whould be backuped
by the savegroup will be listed and no backup will be
started.

Take care to not probe a running group, this may cause
some backups to be restarted.

Another way is to query mediadb like
"mminfo -a -q "savetime>1 week ago" -r "group,client,name"
and then grepping on the group name you want.

HTH,

Thierry

To simply find the present members in a group ask networker:

nsradmin -i - <<EOF
. type: NSR client
. group: "$1"
show name:
print
EOF

Where $1 is the group name off the command line. The mediab would be
accurate though if looking for "who was in this group when it ran x days ago".

A probe sounds expensive if you have a lot of clients in the group.

To simply find the present members in a group ask networker:

nsradmin -i - <<EOF
. type: NSR client
. group: "$1"
show name:
print
EOF

. (or print) always perform a complete query. So you're doing two
separate queries here and throwing away the work done in the first one.
Replace that first query with "type: nsr device" and you'll see that it
is ignored in the output.

I'd probably write it something like this...

show name
print type:nsr client; group: "$1"

Thanks,

Yes, I see that now. My mistake for posting a quicky. Glad to be corrected.
