I am running Legato Networker 7.5.3 on Solaris 10. I am trying to back up a 64 bit linux server and I am getting the following errors in the report for every directory it tries to back up. The client is running version 7.5.3.2. I have also turned off the firewall on both sides to check for that being the issue but to no avail. Still the same error. Thanks and I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Before you try automatic backups make sure that manual backups run successfully.
Added verbosity to the save command should give you more details.

I have done that sir. Manual backups do not work either. They have the same
error as the scheduled backup or server initiated backup. I ran the save
command with -vvvvv and it gave the same results after it showed that it
could make a connection. I have opened a case with EMC. Thanks for your
help.

Strange - if the client is configured and the client daemon is started, it should work.
Of course, there are still problems possible but i then expect other clear error messages.

BTW - the NW 7.5 Release Notes point to another problem: a huge time difference between NW server and client.

Thank you so much Bingo. That was exactly the fix. The server's date was set
incorrectly. Props to your Networker knowledge.
