Group shows as failed in GUI but clients are all successful

Post Group shows as failed in GUI but clients are all successful
Anyone ever see this in the GUI? The group shows as failed but when you show the details all of the clients have backed up successfully? Is there a way to force the GUI to show as successful?
Thanks!

Run a preview from the GUI or just from the command line:

savegrp -p -R group

What version of networker are you using?
I seem to remember it being a problem with one of the versions. You may have to upgrade. Also check the logs for that particular group in great detail to ascertain if there were any errors or warnings on the group or clients.

Hi,

If you enable 'Diagnostic Mode' and look at the 'Status' tab for that group in 'Configuration' task, do you see any failed save sets in the 'Completion' attribute in that tab?

Sukarna

I have come across this problem quite a few times and most likely on busy
windows servers.

The problem was always solved with a cleanup+restart of NW (i.e. (1) stop nw;
(2) clean /nsr/tmp -- remove everything except nsr.dir, seg/ and sg/; (3)
start nw)

Note: Always rename tmp and logs temporarily after Nw shoutdown just to see if
they are locked by some stalled process.
