Post Migrating from Solaris To Linux (Licenses)
Hello list,
does anyone knows if migration from Solaris to Linux needs to
purchase new server licenses? or can I move the ones from solaris to
linux with just issuing a server move to lgto?

TIA

You need to contact your Legato Sales Rep., because you need to fill out
a 'Product Transfer Form' and pay a certain fee.
We just did the same, but ours is Unix-AIX to Linux.

You'll have to contact Legato and they'll give you new licenses (no
purchase necessary). I remember them needing some info from Networker
running on the Linux box. They'll tell you.

You'll need to do a host transfer with Legato, but it doesn't cost
anything. The new platform / host will require new activation codes.

I believe SO.
I have tried to do that once before but it was from Windows to LINUX but
they want to charge me so I ended up keeping it on WINDOWS.
