moving entire /nsr/index

Post moving entire /nsr/index
I have the need to move /nsr/index to a filesystem with more space. Would
there be any issues by moving it to another filesystem and creating a
symbolic link?

I searched the archive and only found reference to moving it to NFS. I'm
wanting to move it to another local filesystem.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Diane

Usually the indexes take up most of the space.
The other directories normally will not take more that ~100MB.
As such I will always tend to move the whole "nsr" directory to a larger
file system.
If you move the entire directory the all you have to do is create a
symbolic link from /nsr to your new directory (file system)

Hi Diane

I've done this over the years several times, and it works just fine.
