Multiple adv_file restores, Unix and Win

Post Multiple adv_file restores, Unix and Win
Hi

I know a way to do a multiple restore from a adv_file device on Unix.
Does anyone know if this is possible on Windows?

Unix way:
NFS export the adv_file device directory.
Mount the NFS dir in the same place in the filesystem on the client as it
is on the Networker server/storage node.
Use commandline recover

So then it is possible to do multiple recovers from from the same adv_file
device.

Have a try to share the directory containing the Adv_file and mount it
accross the lan using "map network drive" (net use <letter>: \\host\share)

Not tested but if it works with NFS and if your cifs rights are ok, it
should work....

Just gave it a quick try :

define your adv_file dev as \\host\share[\path] in networker
and you will be about to mount it (my test server is a windows one)
and device name must be in UNC path name .
But you cannot do concurrent recovers : once you mount the volume on another
device, the device where the volume was mounted is automatically
unmounted. So, it's not concurrent volumes.

It should allow you to do "local"-like recover accross lan in way of
recovering accross storage node (and using storage node NIC).

(BTW, version must be 7.2)
