nw7.4 on linux recover command rpc error

Post nw7.4 on linux recover command rpc error
On one Linux node I have a problem with recover command

nnis1-nds:~> recover
recover: Reverse DNS lookup failed for address 127.0.0.2
Warning: could not establish job id with jobd. Continuing on.
Block device required
Could not connect to server.
recover: RPC error: Program not registered
recover: Cannot start session with server nnis1-nds: RPC cannot make a procedure call: Create failed: Program not registered

As you can see, the command tries to connect the own host, but why ?

a "recover -s backupserver" is working fine

the file "/nsr/res/servers" contains only one entry: "backupserver"

Are there any other resourcess on a linux host, which contain the name of the default networker-server?

This is the expected behavior.

The 'servers' file does not specify the NW server to connect to - it lists the NW server(s) which are allowed to execute RPC calls on this client.

Okay, but where is the default backup-server defined ?

If you ask this way - there is none ... at least not via the 'servers' file.

Yes, during installation you will be asked for the server name. However, you may not name any. The result is a security hole because any NW server will be allowed to backup this client (and could steal data).

AFAIR, on UNIX/Linux, NW will add the '-s server' to the command that starts nsrexecd in the startup script. But this is only set on this OS family.

Below command should work fine

# recover -s <nwserver>

Good luck,
Ram
