Quantum M2500 with LTO-2 and SuSE Linux

Post Quantum M2500 with LTO-2 and SuSE Linux
Hello,

prior to the upgrade of our backup landscape, we are planning to purchase a
Quantum M2500 with 4 x LTO-2 Devices (HP LTO-2) in combination with a DELL
PowerEdge 6650.

We are working with NetWorker 6.1.4. According to the compatibility guide
only Red Hat is supported with Quantum M2500 and LTO-2, but we would like
to use SuSE Enterprise Server 9 with a 2.6.x kernel.

Does anyone have experiences with Linux and LTO-2 and especially with the
configuration described in the stinit.def example file on legato´s web side?

Thanks in advance.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / with best regards

To the best of my knowledge, but you should double check the Legato compatibility guide, no Linux kernel 2.6.x is yet supported by Legato.
