You can just backup your filer mounts using assigned letter
(D:\ for eg) from the windows client like a single disk. Note
specifying ALL in saveset list will NOT backup these filer mounts,
ALL asking savefs to gather all local filesystem only.
You need to define the saveset list (ASR:\ (if W2K3),=20
SYSTEM STATE/DB/FILES:\ (the registry and windows\system32)
and boot disk c:\, ....,
=20
You can also give NDMP backups a look, backuping
directly from the filer and locally to the filer's locally attached tape =
devices
(it's support NDMP). Backups will be faster than accross lan using=20
filer network maps.

Objet : [Networker] backing up windows filer mounts

Hello,

The networker server is running solaris and has just been upgraded to
7.1.2. The windows client is still running networker 6.2

I'm trying to backup up a filer mount on a windows 2000 system. Our =
network
appliance is running on solaris and the solaris mount points are not an
issue. Is there a backup command that is needed for the windows filer
mounts to be backed up from the win2000 client.

thanks
