Backup Central

Hi,

I'm trying to backup a client (7.6.1.7.Build.483; Windows Server 2008 R2
SP1) from a server (the same version of Legato but Windows Server 2008
SP2) and I get the following error:

39078:save: SSNCHNL error: Aborting session channel connection (1) to
<unknown address>; why = An operation was attempted on something that is
not a socket.

I've found nothing about this problem. I don't know if it could be
related to the SQL Server 2008 R2 installation on this client. I'm not
using any module features, I'm only trying an "All" saveset backup.

The client is running in a VM inside VMware ESXi 5.0.0. I have other
similar clients (without the SQL installation) that are backed up properly.

Any idea would be very appreciated.

Hello,

I've tried with SQL server and I get the same error.

I've tried to backup the server only for the drives (C:\, D:\ and L
and it works successfully.

So, could it be something related to the SQL Server version? (I've seen
a suspicious SQL VSS Writer service).

Hello,

Solved with the upgrade to 7.6.2 because of W2K8 R2 SP1.

Now server and client in version 7.6.2.5 Build 681.

Savesets changed from "VSS_*" to "DISASTER_RECOVERY" (I need to read the
docs and download the ISO for recovering).
