If we have one server serving as Networker server and another as storage
node. What will happen if the link between the networker server and the
storage node is down or the NSR server is down for some reason ?

Thanks

I would advise to read the NETWORKER ADMINISTRATION MANUAL
it highlights the communication between storage node and server in quite a
detailed way.

basically you can assume that if the server is down the is no way to make
backups.
if the storagenode is down it completely depends on your configuration

If your NetWorker server dies then the Storagenode just sits there (like a
dummy) and does not do anything. Basically you will see all of your nsrmmd
process started but not really working. If they lose communication then
NetWorker will start to fail out jobs because it can not verify that any of
the backed up data that the storagenode is handling is either
started,working or complete.
