Post Upgrade to 7.1 required licenses
Hey All,
=20
What licenses are required to upgrade to 7.1 from 6.1.3?
=20
I thought I read somewhere that you needed all new enablers, but I can't
seem to find that info anywhere. Sun didn't know what I was talking
about when I requested them.

Any info is appreciated.

You need a 7.1 update enabler code. Your reseller or Legato can supply
this to you. Also, if you are using unlicensed modules such as NDMP then
you also need to license them because 7.1.x does enforce those licenses.

You will need:

New Enabler codes for 7.1.2
New Enabler codes for any add-on database products like Exchange, SQL or
Oracle.

Once you are ready for the upgrade call Legato to get the Enablers, its
free!

I think Librado was right about backup to disk licensing it is not free
anymore.

Somen

Post Upgrade to 7.1 required licenses
Hello,

I recently (2 weeks) upgraded from 6.1.3 to 7.1.2 with the same =
enablers.
Legato detected them and all of the enablers are approved and without
expiration date (Authorized - No expiration date).

Probably, but not sure, this could be due to the fact that some months =
ago
I've entered a new Update/8 code in Legato NetWorker (in the same manner =
we
needed Update/7 to upgrade from 5.5 to 6.x). This code was sent by =
Legato in
a letter inside the latest media kit.

All enablers: autochanger module, clientpaks for linux, unix & pc =
desktops,
archive module, client connenctions, NT cluster clients and NetWorker
Modules for Lotus Notes are recognized without problems in 7.1.2.

Hope this helps.
