How to start learning about DB2
Author Message
Post How to start learning about DB2
It's a new year. On our schedule for later this year is our TSM v6
upgrade. I'd like to start doing some reading about DB2 in anticipation
of this work. We are an Oracle shop with absolutely no knowledge of DB2.
I would appreciate any pointers to recommended DB2 intro materials that
you might have round helpful.

THanks

Rick

Can't help with DB2 info but fortunately you do not need to know very much about DB2 to run TSM v6.

Hi Richard,

This presentation is a good starting point :
https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27020613

There is a DB2 Express Edition wich can be downloaded and used freely.
It's perfect for educational purposes and more...

Hi,

an excellent resource for starting with DB2 is http://www.db2university.com
Under http://www.db2university.com/web/resources.php you will also find some eBooks about DB2 and other things. The eBooks can be downloaded for free.

Helped me, when we made the move to TSM 6.2

Regards
Ralf Krause
