Backup Central

Hello All!

We are failing to restore old versions from exchange tdp.

While we can restore Information Store from the most recent backup,

when we try to restore from previous backups we get the following error message:

30-07-2008 10:56:52 Restore of SG2VS2 failed.
30-07-2008 10:56:52 ACN0208E There is not enough disk space for the operation attempted.
30-07-2008 10:56:52 Total backups inspected: 1
30-07-2008 10:56:52 Total backups requested for restore: 1
30-07-2008 10:56:52 Total backups restored: 0
30-07-2008 10:56:52 Throughput rate: 0.00 Kb/Sec
30-07-2008 10:56:52 Total bytes transferred: 218
30-07-2008 10:56:52 Elapsed processing time: 149.56 Secs
30-07-2008 10:56:52 ACN0151E Errors occurred while processing the request.

Exchange server is 2003 sp2, os: win2003 sp2, tsm server is 5.5.1.0 , TDP 5.5.0.0

Hi Gideon

TDP for exchange requires substantially more disk space for the Recovery
Storage group than the actual live Storage Group. I have had the same
issue.
This seems to be as a result of playing logs forward on the restore.

I would give at least 100GB more than your actual DB.
