encryption of data stream over network
Author Message
Post encryption of data stream over network
Hello,

has anyone discovered a method of encrypting NetVault's data stream over the network? NV not only sends the machine password in cleartext, but also the whole data stream during the backup - despite that Bakbone told us it would encrypt the data.

Please note: we do not want to use the encryption plugin, there is no need to encrypt the backup when it is written to tape. We just want no insecure protocols in our network.

best regards

Use stunnel, or ipsec tunnels
