errno 22 during backup

Post errno 22 during backup
Hi, I've been doing disk to disk backups with rdiff-backup for a while.
The command I am using is

rdiff-backup -v5 --exclude /home/piccolbo/tmp --exclude /media --exclude
/proc --exclude /mnt / /mnt/hdb1/mirror/ > /root/rdiff-backup.log 2>&1

An exerpt of the log is the following. My guess is that this started when
I went to FC3 (Athlon), but I am not sure. I actually get 54 Errno 22

I also get 1760 of these

but I guess that just means I shouldn't be backing up /sys in the first
place
(too bad, my phylosophy of life is: if it's useful back it up; if it's
not, delete; in doubt, assume it's useful)

Thanks

Antonio

PS: I searched the archives for an errno 22 message, but what I found
seemed specific to cygwin

What output does "ls -al selinux/booleans" give?
(If those files are not regular files, that might point in the direction
of a solution..)

Indeed, /sys is just like /proc, not a normal filesystem. Just exclude it.

On 2.5.x and later (including 2.6.x, as is used in FC3) /sys is a new
kernel filesystem similar in concept to /proc - so if you're excluding
/proc, you should be excluding /sys.
