With 0.13.4 on both client and server::

backup < at > sokoban:~$ rdiff-backup -V

With all the metadata in the archive directory::

$ pwd

mirror_metadata.2005-11-03T20:17:58+01:00.snapshot.gz

I get this error trying to use the --compare option


$ rdiff-backup --compare luis_backup::/home/luis/projects
/backups/luis_projects
Warning: ownership cannot be changed on filesystem at
/backups/luis_projects/rdiff-backup-data
Warning, metadata file not found.
Metadata will be read from filesystem.
Fatal Error: Mirror metadata not found

I join the strace log file

$ strace rdiff-backup --compare luis_backup::/home/luis/projects
/backups/luis_projects 2> strace_log.txt

Hmm, what does 'ls current_mirror*' tell you? (If you've changed the
repository since your original message, give me another ls of the
mirror_metadata* files.)
