Dear rdiff Developers,
I am new user to rdiff,
I have few queries please help me.
1. I want to know whether rdiff server and client are available for
* Novell servers
* Windows 2003
* Windows 2000 server
* Windows NT
* Windows XP
* Xservers
* Mac OS X
* Mac OS 9

2. I also want to know if my rdiff server is on Mac OS X
and the clients are Windows (XP/2000/2003) , Novelle Server , Mac OS X, Mac OS 9, Linux.
Does it works with all the clients. I mean to say is there any problem
backup the data using rdiff from all different OS clients to Mac OS X.

3. I also want to know if my rdiff server is on Windows (XP/2000/2003)
and the clients are Windows (XP/2000/2003) , Novelle Server , Mac OS X, Mac OS 9, Linux.
Does it works with all the clients. I mean to say is there any problem
backup the data using rdiff from all different OS clients to Windows.

4. I also want to know if my rdiff server is on Novelle Server

every day what is harware configuration recommended for the better

6. How rdiff works with multiple client connections in terms of performance ?

7. For backing data across different clients on different platform (as I
mentioned earlier) do we need data to be backup should be availble on
shares(NFS/CIFS) ? or what rdiff supports ?

8. What are the recovery mechanism provided by rdiff ?

As you've asked a few times, let me make some suggestions. Firstly, this is
an Open Source product: there isn't usually a willing and motivated sales
team to answer a whole string of questions. The product is free; the price
is time. You need to invest some time to find out what it can do. You need
to search/read the archives of the mailing list. And then you need to try
it. If you get stuck, post a mail here in the classic format ("what I'm
trying to achieve", "what I'm doing", "what happens", "how that differs
from my expectations", "what I've tried so far to resolve this"). You'll
have fun on the way, and probably learn a thing or two. If you don't have
the time/motivation/energy/expertise to do this, pay someone!

Keith is too nice. In open source, it is considered very rude to
repeatedly ask questions which you could trivially discover for
yourself by merely looking at the web site or manual. I suggest you
read it before posting again. If you cannot understand the manual,
you need to hire someone who can.

We are here to help each other, *not* to do your work for you for
free.
