Help with --exclude-filelist and AF_UNIX path too long

Post Help with --exclude-filelist and AF_UNIX path too long
I'm getting errors like this with rdiff-backup 0.12.6:

# rdiff-backup --exclude-filelist exclude.txt / /backup
SpecialFileError home/stephen/.kde3.2/socket-mozart/kdeinit-:0 Socket error:
AF_UNIX path too long
SpecialFileError home/stephen/.kde3.2/socket-mozart/kdeinit-localhost:10
Socket error: AF_UNIX path too long
...

But the thing is I thought I excluded that directory. Am I using the exclude
list correctly? Also, I get a message "/cdwriter is a directory", even though
it too is in the exclude list:

# cat exclude.txt
/backup
/home/stephen/.thumbnails
/home/stephen/.kde3.2/socket-mozart
/home/stephen/.mozilla/default/ss7af3n1.slt/Cache
/proc
/tmp
/mnt
/dev
/cdwriter
/dos
/mnt
/sys

Thanks!
