Backup Central

I am running SuSE Linux 9.0. I would like to try out rdiff-backup but
the only rpm that I can find appears to be designed for Red Hat. Should
I be able to install the Red Hat rpm on a SuSe system or should I go the
make route? Thanks for any advice.

I thought the rpm worked on suse.
can't hurt to try.
worst case you might need to symlink the correct python version

It's very easy and quick to compile and install yourself:
1. Install python-devel and librsync packages using YaST
2. Follow the 2-step directions that come with the rdiff-backup source.

Thanks. I'll try that. I assume from your answer that there is no SuSE
RPM? :-)
